Sometimes when you drive around LA, you just know you've seen this road or building or restaurant or store before....And I am just sure that Foothill Blvd. in Beverly Hills has been used for a ton of those movies where you see the character driving in a convertible down a street lined with palms. ("Beverly Hills Cop" comes to mind).
Yes, they really exist...these palm-lined streets and diners where the stars hold covert meetings or have discreet romance (Cafe 101 on the corner of Franklin and Gower in Hollywood is popular)...those little yellow signs are everywhere guiding you to filming throuhout the city...yes, there are film sets, but then why not just use the real thing sometimes.
